Park Pavilion Rentals
We are currently taking reservations for events through December 31, 2025.

Parks and Facilities:
Reservations can be made through the City of Albert Lea Parks & Recreation office located at the City Arena, 701 Lake Chapeau Drive. All reservations do require full rental payment at the time of the reservation. Reservations can be made in the office with cash, check or credit/debit card, over the phone with credit/debit card or online at Parks and Recreation Facility Reservations. Reservations are currently being accepted for rentals through the year 2023. This is the time to make your reservations for picnics, family reunions, birthday parties, weddings or get-togethers for your church, friends, or club.
Rental Rates: All rentals are subject to 7.875% sales tax. Non-profit agencies may rent facilities at half price on weekdays, Monday-Thursday only. Proof of non-profit status must be presented at the time of reservation.
Fee Structure: Resident and Non-Resident Status: The City Council has determined select facility rentals will have a user fee charge. In addition, the City Council has determined non-residents will pay an additional $5.00 non-resident fee for each rental. A non-resident is considered someone living outside the city limits of Albert Lea.
**Facilities must be rented for a minimum of two hours** Set-up and clean-up time must be included in your rental time.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made 30 days prior to the reserved event date to receive a refund. All pavilion rentals are rain or shine. No refunds available for inclement weather. Reservations can be transferred to a different date if the request is made two weeks prior to the reserved event date.

* Large Pavilion (Pavilion #1) (North & South):
Full rental: Accommodates up to 200 people. Half rental: Accommodates up to 100 people. Cold running water, electrical outlets, restrooms within walking distance and playground equipment.
Full rental: $50/hour – in town; $55/hour – out of town. Half rental: $25/hour – in town; $30/hour – out of town. Large Pavilion is available for rent May 1st through October 15th.
* Edgewater Bay Pavilion:
Edgewater Bay Pavilion is our only year-round pavilion rental. Accommodates approximately 144 people. Hot and cold running water, restrooms on site, wood burning fireplace, kitchen with refrigerator/freezer, oven/stove and microwave. Heated and air-conditioned. Rental includes use of : 144 folding chairs, (18) 60″ round tables, and (6) 6′ rectangular tables. Facility dimensions: 72’x45′ and 4,900 sq ft.
Rental Rates: $55.00/hour – in town, $60.00/hour – out of town; $800.00 + tax full day rental is available (8:00am – midnight).
Refundable Security Deposit Required: $300.00 cleaning/key deposit due at the time of key pick-up. Facility keys must be picked up at the Recreation Office located at the City Arena the day before a weekday rental or the Friday before a weekend rental. The key must be returned the next day for a week day rental and the following Monday for a weekend rental to avoid forfeiting the security deposit.
*All rentals from October 15-May 1 will need to access the park through the west entrance off of HW 13. Park gates will be locked and renters will be given a gate key at the time of pavilion key pick-up.

* Cottage at Edgewater Park :
Edgewater Park Cottage accommodates approximately 96 people (48 inside and 48+ outside). Hot and cold running water, rest rooms within a short walking distance, wood-burning fireplace, kitchen with refrigerator/freezer, stove, oven, and microwave.
Rental Rates: $30.00/hr. – in town; $35.00/hr. – out of town.
Refundable Security Deposit Required: $300.00 cleaning/key deposit due at the time of key pick-up. Facility keys must be picked up at the Recreation Office located at the City Arena the day before a weekday rental or the Friday before a weekend rental. The key must be returned the next day for a week day rental and the following Monday for a weekend rental to avoid forfeiting the security deposit.

Other Pavilion Rentals
* Pioneer Park:
Pioneer Park accommodates approximately 32 people. Restrooms, running water, oven/stove, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, electrical outlets, 8 picnic tables under a canopy and playground equipment.
Rental Rates: With kitchenette $20.00/hour – in town; $25.00/hour – out of town. Without kitchenette: $15.00/hour – in town; $20.00/hour – out of town.
Refundable Security Deposit Required with kitchenette rental: $300.00 cleaning/key deposit due at the time of key pick-up. Facility keys must be picked up at the Recreation Office located at the City Arena the day before a weekday rental or the Friday before a weekend rental. The key must be returned the next day for a week day rental and the following Monday for a weekend rental to avoid forfeiting the security deposit.
