And it would be safest to walk on the sidewalks or paved paths on town where they are available. So many still walk on the road/street.
This goes for bikers too. Unfortunately, there are many people who do not know the rules of the road when biking.
There is also some drivers who will pull out right in front of people riding their bikes n walking!

Thank you, good reminder!
They need to put cross walks and flashing yellow lights on bridge street by Eat's Ice cream. Lots of people get ice cream and try to cross that busy street (that no one stops for them) to the park to sit at the picnic tables.
Crosswalk etiquette in this town is terrible 😔
This is ridiculous, go back to teaching people to look out for traffic. Common sense is disturbingly missing...
I wish that law was followed by everyone, I was almost hit last year. The car was so close I banged on the trunk
Same for people riding bikes on the road they need to obey all traffic laws. I see a lot of them going against traffic, not stopping at stop signs or traffic lights and you guys don't do anything about it to enforce this. Anyone riding a bike needs to obey all traffic laws.
Mark your calendars!

Severe Weather Awareness Week: Severe weather, lightning and hail
Thunderstorms: When a severe thunderstorm threatens, stay inside a strong structure. Mobile home occupants should go to a more permanent structure. Severe thunderstorms produce large hail or winds of at least 58 mph. Some wind gusts can exceed 100 mph and produce tornado-like damage. That’s why many communities will sound their outdoor sirens for damaging straight-line winds.
Hail: Most hail is about pea-sized. Much of it is the size of baseballs, and it can reach grapefruit-size.
Lightning: If you hear thunder, lightning is close enough to strike you. If you are caught outside with no safe shelter anywhere nearby the following actions may reduce your risk:
Immediately get off elevated areas such as hills, mountain ridges or peaks
Never lie flat on the ground
Never shelter under an isolated tree
Never use a cliff or rocky overhang for shelter
Immediately get out and away from ponds, lakes and other bodies of water
