Take the winter walking challenge

The Blue Zones Albert Lea Leadership Team challenges everyone to keep walking this winter! How to stay active:

• Take the Blue Zones Walkway around Fountain Lake or the Blazing Star State Trail
• Snowshoe at a local park, with snowshoe rentals available at Albert Lea Community Education and Myre-Big Island State Park
• Sled downhill and then walk back up
• Cross-country ski at a park
• Skate indoors at the City Arena or outdoors at Academy, Hawthorne, Hayek or Lakeview parks
• Designate a path through worksites for walking during breaks
• Walk indoors at the Albert Lea Family Y, Northbridge Mall or Skyline Plaza
