⚠️ 12-hour parking ordinance being enforced. Please utilize off-street parking.SNOW PLOWING STARTING: The Albert Lea Street Department is plowing and sanding major streets and highways with plans to plow residential streets starting at 2 a.m. Friday. Under a policy adopted in 2007, city crews plow streets when snow accumulations reach 3 inches, or drifting snow and icy conditions are impacting travel. Major routes, emergency vehicle locations, school streets and bus routes are top priorities. Residential streets and city parking lots are plowed last. Moving vehicles off the street greatly helps the process. Please avoid travel if warranted and slow down if out driving. WHEN WILL THE PARKS DEPARTMENT PUT IN OUTDOOR ICE RINKS? When there’s enough snow base, preferably 4 - 6 inches, to help prevent the ice from melting. The crews also need 1 week of consistently freezing temperatures to build up the ice. Ideally, the temperatures should be below zero. Then freezing temps are needed to maintain the ice rinks. The Parks Department will look at conditions this week and decide if the process can start. Keep following us for updates. ... See MoreSee Less

We don't even have enough to plow
How about if the city actually has vehicles removed from streets this year instead of just plowing around cars?
Thank you!! My plow driver does an awesome job if it's the same one as past years!!
