Albert Lea Police Department committed to service

The Albert Lea Police Department is committed to excellent public service, community policing and career development. Officers serve on many teams, including SWAT, Mobile Field Force, Drone Team, Drug Task Force and more.

The department employs 28 sworn officers, including two school resource officers. The organization structure consists of a director of public safety, deputy director of police, two lieutenants, four sergeants, three detectives and 17 patrol officers. Civilian personnel include community service officers and an administrative assistant.
