8-6-20: The contractor completed replacement of the watermain this week. They are currently working on replacing water services between the abandoned railroad and 1st Avenue. Once they have obtained passing bacteria tests on the remaining new watermain, they will complete the rest of the water service work.

They then replaced the water valves at both Ermina Avenue and at 1st Avenue. Unless there are any unforeseen circumstances, there should be no more water shutdowns associated with this project. Next week the contractor will begin replacing the sanitary sewer manholes and then begin replacing the storm sewer beginning at the east end of the project if time permits.
