The City of Albert Lea is seeking a Civil/Environmental Engineer who desires the challenge and experience of designing a wide range of municipal improvements including streets, sanitary sewers, water main, storm sewers, wastewater and water treatment plant improvement projects, and other public improvement projects. Responsible for directing the City’s demolition landfill, transfer station and compost site, directing the industrial wastewater pretreatment program, and working with state and local governments on environmental issues.
The salary range for a Graduate Engineer is $50,648.00 to $65,852.80
The salary range for a Registered Engineer is $60,756.80 to $79,019.20
Note: This position will be filled at either the Civil/Environmental Engineer (Graduate) or the Civil/Environmental Engineer (Registered) depending on license and experience of the successful candidate.
Graduate Civil / Environmental Engineer
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with an environmental emphasis from an accredited 4-year university or college and must have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE).
Registered Civil/Environmental Engineer
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with an environmental emphasis from an accredited 4-year university or college and four years of professional environmental and civil engineering experience. Must be a registered professional engineer in Minnesota.
